St. John Evangelist of St. John is the 1st place winner of the

CYO Diocesan Championship 7th and 8th Grade Academic Bowl.

They were coached by Kathie Deatherage.

2nd place goes to St. Thomas More of Munster. 

They were coached by Mark Werkowski.

3rd place goes to St. Michael of Schererville. 

They were coached by Barbara Saunders and Jeremiah Olson.

2nd place goes to St. Paul's School of Valparaiso. 

They were coached by Tom Oram and Ellen Taylor.

3rd place goes to Queen of All Saints of Michigan City. 

They were coached by Kathy Gushrowski.

 

5th and 6th Grade 1st Place Winners - St. Thomas More presented with medals and an award from CYO Staff Member Stephanie Kustka.

The CYO has been sponsoring the academic bowl for several years. Students  use special contest disks on MacIntosh and Windows computers.  The questions are derived from all middle school curriculum.  This event provides an opportunity for students to exercise their academic ability.

 

All entries are eligible for Diocesan Finals only.
