1. ALL players and teams should participate no matter what level of
skill. ‘100% Participation’ ribbons will be distributed
to schools that
have 100% team participation.
2. Completely fill out information needed on the attached score sheet
(full name, address, phone.). This information is important
for mailing
purposes. (If faxing results, please use ink- pencil does not come
through on a fax.)
3. Have each player take a few warm up shots (three to five should be
sufficient).
4. Tell each player when his/her shots will start counting (watch for
free throw line violations).
5. Each player is to attempt ten (10) consecutive free throws (coach
should draw a line through the free throw attempt
that is missed and
circle the free throw attempt that is successful).
6. The player making the most free throws out of ten (10) attempts is
declared the team champion. The player making
the second most free
throws will be the alternate (this information is important also).
7. In case of a tie, five (5) additional free throws are shot to
determine the champion or to break any tie for second place.
8. If a tie still exists, repeat #6 until one player has made more free
throws than the other when the tying players have
taken an equal number
of shots. The next highest score will be your alternate.
9. Mail or fax the team score sheet (fax: 736-9457) to the CYO office
before the deadline of 4:00 p.m., Friday,
January 19, 2007.
10. We will mail a blue entry card to the winner. This will be their
ticket into the finals contest.
